Why has the patient skipped readings? Follow
A patient will sometimes press the SKIP button thinking they are pressing the OK button. The patient may not remember tapping a Skip button, but they did if the Care Team member sees that reason on the biometric alert in the Care Team Portal. The only way the SKIP reason shows up is by the patient pressing the button.
The patient can select different reasons for skipping Pathways. The options presented can be edited/deleted by Care Team members with Content Administrator access.
Often skipped readings are a patient education issue; ask why they are skipping Pathway questions. If a patient is on multiple programs, the Pathways may ask the same questions twice or prompting for biometrics twice, which leads to confusion.
Note: The skip function is also available on the manual entry screen. We see this most often when a patient does a manual entry and taps SKIP thinking it was the OK button.

Alerts are generated based on several situations that occur during a patient's participation in the health monitoring program. The alerts appear on the Patients list page, so the Care Team can easily see which patients have generated an alert and the level of the alert based on the color. When a patient chooses to skip a biometric entry, an alert is generated that this data was not recorded.
When a Care Team member accepts or rejects alerts, the action is recorded on the patient's chart. Until the alert is rejected, the patients score will appear as --- in the patient header.
If you have Reports Administrator permissions and you want a comprehensive overview of alerts, you can view the Patient Alert Analysis Report. This report has the total amount of accepted alerts that have been generated during the patient's program and the percentage separated by biometric, survey, and skip alerts.
